Michael Embden - British landscape painter
During the 1990's Embden gradually gave up illustration to concentrate on landscape painting. The examples below are all watercolours - aren't they just beautiful - they look almost like photographs. I would love to be able to do watercolours as good as these. Embden is considered one of Britain's leading watercolorists.
The artist studied graphics and illustration at Brighton College of Art in the 1960's and went on to become a successful freelance illustrator. During the 1970's and 1980's Embden did publishing and advertising in Britain, the USA and Europe, including over one hundred book covers and posters for billboards.
