Give thanks

Give thanks unto the LORD

We should never forget to GIVE THANKS to the LORD, for everything, no matter how big or how small. Sadly in our busy world, as we race around, trying to beat the clock, we forget to thank the Lord.  My mother, when she found a car-park at the busy shopping centre, would thank the Lord.  I often do this when I am at a busy intersection and there is a break in the traffic allowing me to safely drive across - "thank-you Lord".  He is with us every moment of every day, taking care of us, so it is worth remember to given thanks even for the smallest of things.

Give thanks unto the LORD,
call upon his name,
make known his deeds among the people.
Sing unto him,
sing psalms unto him,
talk ye of all his wondrous works.

Remember his marvellous works that he hath done.

1 Chronicles 16:8-9, 12

What are you thankful for this week?

This week I thank the Lord that my mum is feeling a little better and was able to talk on the phone for a few minutes and that my son was able to apply for 2 jobs. Please pray that my son Tristan gets an interview as one of these jobs would be perfect for him.  It is a lesson in trusting in the Lord.

  3. Jo,

Thank you for this reminder to be thankful in all things. Sometimes, I wonder why it is so hard for us to utter those two little words to the Lord!

At any rate, I pray that your son gets an interview for one of those jobs. Please let us know how that goes.

    Blessings,

    -L. Rose

  4. So true and having a thankful heart really helps me to be joyful in all situations (not always easy).

Glad your Mom is feeling better and hope your son gets the perfect job.
