I love art but I am not artist. I love to look at art, read about the lives of artists and fascinated by the techniques they use. Each Wednesday I select a different artist and share their works. I am yet to run out of artists!
Here are some of my favourites, in no particular order. If these paintings were for sale and I could afford them, I would have in my home. This is a list that is likely to grow as I am always finding paintings that I love!

| The girl with the pearl earring by Johannes Vermeer (1632-1675) |
| Flaming June by Lord Frederick Leighton (1830-1896) |
| Mother and daughter by Elisabeth-Louise Vigee-Le Brun (1755-1842) |
| Hope by George Frederick Watts (1817-1904) |
| This is the way we wash the clothes by George Dunlop Leslie (1835-1921) - I like most of his works, its hard to decide on just one painting. |
| Hvile by Vilhelm Hammershoi (1864-1916) - I had the privilege of seeing this painting in Canberra and it did not disappoint me. Hammershoi's paintings have a wonderful stillness and peace to them. |
