Welcome to 2011
Seek the LORD, and his strength:
seek his face evermore.
Psalm 105:4
~oOo~
I will bless the LORD at all times:
his praise shall continually be in my mouth.
Psalm 34:1
~oOo~
Oh that men would praise
the LORD for his goodness,
and for his wonderful works
to the children of men!
Psalm 107:31

I do not know what the new year will bring, but I do know for certain, God "will never leave thee nor forsake thee" and he will protect me as "The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me" and everyday He will be "my strength and my shield". Through Him I will find comfort and courage. . . . I pray that you do to. Blessings.
Hebrew 13:5-6 and Psalm 28:7
Those are beautiful verses to start the year out with, Jo. Sometimes I think it would/could be fun to know what the new year will bring... but I know that some of it would probably scare us to death - God really knew best when He created us without the ability to see into the future!! :)
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year Jo~ It has been such a pleasure visiting you and enjoying your visits to me. I pray that you have a blessed year drawing closer to the Lord and being a blessing to others. Thank you for your encouragement and kindness.

Jo,
ReplyDeleteWell, it's not quite January 1st in my part of the world as I type this. However, it will be approaching in just a few hours.
I like your attitude towards the New Year - placing your hopes and trust in Christ. Oh, how I year to have that kind of faith!
At any rate, I am glad that I found your blog this year. It's been encouraging as well as inspiring. I hope that our blogging friendship continues to grow during the New Year.
Take great care, Dear Sister. :)
Blessings,
-Lady Rose
