Art Friday: Michelle Manley, Patty Maher & Diana Belran Herrera
This is a bit of a cheats "Art Friday" but I've been busy and I haven't had heaps of time to put together anything detailed. But during the week I have come across a couple of contemporary artists that you might enjoy.
Below is work by Michelle Manley (from Texas) who has some very expressive storm art that is well worth checking out. For anyone who lives in Texas, are storms like this, dramatic?
"Storm Series" by Michelle Manely:

Canadian photography Patty Maher and her "Faceless Women" series
I find this sort of photography interesting and very artistic, but I understand it isn't everyone's cup of tea.

Diana Belran Herrera and her paper birds
These are gorgeous

Thanks:))))
DeleteI really was surprised that I did like all of them. A wee bit different but good! I like the one best with the lady reading the book.

Each Friday I do an art segment - I love art/art history and there is so much to choose from. I like to select art that I really like (enjoy) and others may not be aware of. I have been doing it for 3 years and yet to run out of ideas!!
DeleteI am also a fan of the woman reading the book, its strange but they are really appealing to look at.
Blessings
Loved the faceless women & the storm ones. Less sure about the birds. ☺ Have a blessed weekend.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by - I am also a fan of the faceless women and I am not sure why!!
DeleteHave a wonderful weekend

The storm ones are interesting but not my favourite... But I really love the faceless women! The paper ones are really clever, too.
ReplyDeleteThe storms look like angry faces to me. Those birds would be a lot of work to make !! Faceless women are fascinating.
DeleteHave a lovely weekend.
