Wow! Incredible works, and rare to see such a difference in style. My favorite is the children with the puppies. She captured that moment beautifully!

I must say I much prefer the first lot. They were filled with emotion, the second lot didn't touch me at all - more cold, I felt!

Her Pre-Rapharlite period is much more stylised and doesn't have as much emotion as her earlier work. It is interesting how an artist can change their style of work.

DeleteThe painting one above the one you like is so sad (just had a look at it), poor little girl standing in the snow looking hungry.
I MUCH prefer the earlier ones. They're REALLY nice!
