A very dreary day where I live - drizzle all day, foggy and grey. I was very glad that I was indoors and warm. It is times like these that I am glad I have an indoor job - not like the road builders I pass every day no matter the weather. The garden will be happy as we haven't had rain for a couple of weeks and the pots were getting a bit dry.
So here is something uplifting for a gloomy day.
"O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever."
Chronicles 16:34
"Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks"
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

What a magestic picture - how I wouldl ove to spend some time in your country! Sometimes, especially when I have a lot to do - I am actually glad when it rains, that way I don't feel so sad that I can't be out and about. When I work 12 hour shifts and it is beautiful and sunny outside - I feel so bummed!

It's been nice and drizzly here too - we desperately needed it - haven't had rain for ages. We've had something like 9mm rain this month - and over 5mm of that was today!! Everything is brown and dead here - and we need a LOT more rain. Glad to be able to stay indoors - didn't even collect eggs today; they can wait until tomorrow!!
ReplyDeleteLove both those verses :)
And beautiful pic!!
What a beautiful photo! Such amazing places God has created.
ReplyDeleteIt is heading for rain and cooler weather all week here, as well. But then, we frequently get loads of rain. My husband says that is why the grass is so green, but I say you can hardly enjoy the green grass for all the rain!
Overcast and cool here but no rain to speak of. Just the sort of day for curling up with a book.
ReplyDeleteLove our beautiful Aussie landscape. So diverse our sunburnt country!
Same day here in Vic, grey drizzly & cold. One patient came for treatment in thongs though and the senior students still ran the cross country...madness!
ReplyDeleteDrizzle makes for days sprinkled with blankets, tea, and cozy reads. Right now I would gladly take some of that....summer is upon us in the states (85 today!) and I don't like it....anything over 75 is too hot for me!
ReplyDeleteHmmm, I wonder if they are the same road workers I see every day? We enjoyed the drizzle - our plants were getting a bit thirsty too!
