Week 7

Sydney Harbour Bridge taking from the Manley Ferry

Family

My son hasn't been feeling very well this week and missed a couple of days of school, and this is only his 2nd week back at school.  He is looking and feeling much better today.  I have no idea what bug he caught, but that is nothing unusual.
My DH has been trying to fix a problem on his laptop and each evening he came home from work and spent ages trying to figure out the problem - getting more and more frustrated. Finally on Thursday (with the help of a on-line technician) he cracked it and was so relieved.

Otherwise it has been a very quiet week.

Weather
Mostly cool with one day/night of rain followed by humidity.
Since the rain I have heard the crickets chirping happily.

 Shopping
Had to buy a new kettle as ours wouldn't turn off when it boiled.  Kettles range in price from $9.00 through to almost $200!! Who would spend $200 on a kettle unless it made the tea and brought it to me!!  Our last two kettles wouldn't pour probably and would make a mess on the counter, this one (which impresses me no end!) makes NO mess - amazing!!!

Bible verse
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith.  Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
Galatians 5:22-23

Gift
Sometimes it is the small gifts that means the most - my eldest son can around on Thursday with a gift for me.  he had bought me a mug.  May not be to every ones taste, but I thought he was so sweet.  I have taken it to work as it is the perfect size for my tea.

Not a lot this week - very quiet - just the way I like it.

  5. The elephant is very cute! :)

Quiet weeks are good - we've had drizzling rain here several days this past week, which has been nice.

Kettles can be really annoying - we have a cordless one (the cord is on the base it sits on to boil), and if you don't sit the kettle "just so", the switch won't turn on to start it boiling, it can be really frustrating. Kettles and toasters... you would think they would have created the perfect ones after all these years, but I'm sure even the $200 ones still break and cause frustration - never heard of the perfect one yet!! And yes, good question... why WOULD you spend $200 on a kettle????
