Nothing random

“Silk is a fibrous protein produced in glands within the spider or silkworm and some insects.  What these creatures do is something no laboratory has been able to achieve; control the chemistry so exquisitely that the silk, which is a liquid inside the organism, becomes a solid upon leaving it.  Chief among the advantages of natural silk is the way the proteins are organised.  They are folded in complex ways that help give each silk its unique properties.  Scientists have not been able to replicate the intricate folding

To all those who say the world was created by random acts of evolution - the silk worm is not some random creature - it does something so amazing that scientists are still unable to replicate the making natural silk.  And if we look at the silk from a spider - their thread is five times stronger than steel of the same thickness, and can stretch to four times its own length. Man has never been able to make anything like it.

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
 Genesis 1:1

Silk is just one small example of the wonders of Gods work.
He has done a brilliant job.

Thou, even thou, art LORD alone; thou hast made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth, and all things that are therein, the seas, and all that is therein, and thou preservest them all; and the host of heaven worshippeth thee.
Nehemiah 9:6

  1. Great post...I am still so amazed by his creation and how could anyone believe it is random? I do think that takes more faith than believing in a creator.

  2. Hello my friend-
You know I dont even think I have ever seen a photo of a silkworm before - this is amazing. What a unbelievable task this little creature performs! I can't decide - is he cute- or not?

  3. Scientists can't replicate the silk *yet*.

Give it 10, 20 years. We'll have it down. Science is fun like that, it progresses with time.
