Whoopie Pies
I don't get to make cakes and biscuits very often these days - I don't eat them since my weight loss, my DH isn't much of a cake eater and my son goes through phases!! However I work with a group of people who loved home cooked food so occasionally I make something "bad"!! This week I made Whoopie Pies which I have never made before and I was very impressed with the result. They didn't quite look like the picture in the magazine, but they still tasted very good - full of whipped vanilla cream.
Up until a few weeks ago I had never heard of Whoopie Pies as they aren't Australia, but I am glad I found out about them as they are very good. Here is the recipe: link
What interesting things have you made this week?
~oOo~
They look wonderful, Jo! :)
ReplyDeleteI made a recipe from Mrs Beeton's recipe collection last night - Stew Soup. It was quite good!
Jo, they look good! I am sure your work friends appreciated them A LOT!
ReplyDeleteI've heard of whoopie pies, though I have never made them. They look good and fattening, ha, ha! I hope that your co-workers enjoyed their little treat.
ReplyDeleteI need to make some cookies this week for hubby's lunches. I just haven't gotten around to it yet.
Madame Wildflower - yes, full of calories, so I only ate one but my colleagues all had 2!! but I enough for my son to enjoy them to. So all were happy:) These would make nice cookies without the cream and just some frosting on top. They are very tasty on their own, cake like!
ReplyDeleteI have eaten these & they are very good. Definitely *bad*. lol
