Freezing herbs
One thing I love about the internet is the ability to share ideas and this is one of them. This was posted on Facebook the other day and I thought it was an excellent idea and one I plan to try when I go home.
All you need to do is cut up some herbs (I have heaps of parsley that won't last the summer) place in freezer trays and cover with oil (extra virgin oil olive, coconut oil) or water and freeze. They can then be tossed into a soup or stew when needed. What a great idea.
A very good idea... one I must try sometime, too! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm going to do it with water rather than oil.
DeleteHi Joluise,
ReplyDeleteWhat a clever idea...I often cook and freeze for later..But had never thought of using the ice cube trays for herbs. Thanks for sharing..

I freeze herbs too but just in zip lock bags :) though ice cube trays sound much neater:)
