GROW YOUR BLOG (and giveaway)

Dear bloggers,

I have decided to join

 Grow Your Blog

being organised by my lovely bloggy friend Vicki from 2 Bags Full.
Thankyou Vicki for making this possible, you really do have a heart of gold.

To introduce myself, my name is Joluise and I live in Australia.   I am married to one extra gorgeous husband. We are proud parents of two adult children, two cats, two dogs and three fish!! I would love to be parents of just one more kitty cat but husband says "no" (he says two cats are enough, no idea why)!  I work full-time (in an enjoyable job) however I love being a home-maker and enjoy nothing better than pottering around our home creating that homely cosy feel for my husband and I.   My cats love what I have done with the pillows and throw rugs and find them very cosy indeed.

I love to sew and would really like to learn more about quilting. I enjoy cooking from scratch and I love eating even more! Reading is one of my passions and I couldn't live without books. I like to potter in the garden and grow some vegetables, sadly the garden is looking a little wilted at present as we are in the middle of summer. I am also a keen photographer and would love to be able to turn it into a money making activity but yet to work out how.

I have been blogging for quite a few year and made some wonderful blogging friends along the way and hope to make some more:))

***

As a special thankyou for dropping by I would like to give away two gifts which will include a handmade tissue holder (that are perfect for any handbag) plus a few little surprises.

It is open to anyone on the planet.

If you wish to participate, please leave a message and contact details so I can find you again, the planet is a big place!!

The draw will be held on the 15th of February.

Thankyou
so much for dropping by and I do hope to see you again sometime soon.

God bless

hugs

Joluise

  1. Hello JoLuise! Nice to meet you! Sounds like you have a lovely life in beautiful Australia. I am quite the animal person though my husband is not. The kleenex cases are lovely. I've wanted to crochet some for awhile, guess I need to get on that. So many projects, so little time. Take care and have a blessed weekend. Tammy

    1. So glad to hear. We got good rain on Friday (most of the day) and the garden is looking much happier. But it will be short lived as by Saturday next week we will be back up to 40C. I pray that the heat will only be for a few days as the house or I don't like it very much.

Have a lovely weekend - a long weekend for me which is just wonderful.

Reading, gardening, taking photos, etc. I also love Gladys Taber's books! It's late so I'll move along, but I'll be visiting again soon. Take care!

  11. Oops, I should have said Laura Ingalls Wilder books! :) I just picked up a Gladys Taber book and had that name on the brain. I do enjoy both, though! We visited Mansfield MO last year and saw where Laura and her husband lived and it was very interesting. I want to go back sometime. I'm a big fan of hers. I have a few posts I did on Laura's home that you might be interested in.

Australia seemed such a long way away:)) I have never heard of Gladys Taber but looking on the net, she has written quite a number of books. Will have to investigate further:)
