Kathy's quilt

Kathy's quilt

Finally done . . . it has been a labour of love, a special gift for a dear friend.

I have enjoyed making it, but there have been times when I doubt my abilities and thought it wasn't good enough to give someone. Some people sew with such confidents, I am not one of them.

These are Kathy's favourite colours so I am sure she will like it regardless.

  6. I just found your blog today and then I seen this quilt. I love it and I don't see anything wrong with it. I always criticize my quilt making abilities but I'm learning to accept the mistakes as learning experiences so I can enjoy the journey more. I may never be a great quilt maker but even my less than perfect quilts are cozy and become cozier with use-I love each one. The Amish are wonderful quilters and they are sure to put an imperfection in each quilt on purpose! I'm sure your friend will cherish it and appreciate all the work and love you put into it.

    1. My dear friend too it to her ladies craft class and shared the quilt with all the elderly ladies that do craft each week - they all thought it was great, in particular the colours. Kathy loves it and I know she will treasure it forever, it made with love and will be loved :))
