Mothers Day

"A mother holds her children's hands for a little while; their hearts, forever."

A Mother's Love
~
A Mother's love is something

that no on can explain,

It is made of deep devotion

and of sacrifice and pain,

It is endless and unselfish

and enduring come what may

For nothing can destroy it

or take that love away . . .

It is patient and forgiving

when all others are forsaking,

And it never fails or falters

even though the heart is breaking . . .

It believes beyond believing

when the world around condemns,

And it glows with all the beauty

of the rarest, brightest gems . . .

It is far beyond defining,

it defies all explanation,

And it still remains a secret

like the mysteries of creation . . .

A many splendoured miracle

man cannot understand

And another wondrous evidence

of God's tender guiding hand.

My two beautiful sons took me out for lunch today and we had a wonderful time together.  My eldest paid for the meal - his gift to me.  He took the photo of my below just before we left on our outing.
My youngest asked his girlfriend to make me a necklace which is so pretty and with my 2 favourite colours - lime green and purple.

To all the mothers - may you have a very blessed day with your children.
And to the new mothers  (one in particular with the sweetest little baby girl called Sarah),
being a mother is such a special gift form God.

The journey is bumpy, but the rewards along the way are beyond what you could ever imagine.

  5. Happy Mother's Day, Jo! How wonderful to have a lovely lunch with your sons, and your necklace sounds so pretty. You are so right. I'm very good at making this journey bumpy! I'm so thankful that, in spite of me, God does make motherhood so rewarding. I often just sit in awe of how richly I am blessed to raise up these precious souls for His glory.
