A "romantic" message board

I wanted something in the kitchen where I could leave romantic messages for my dear husband and he could write them to me. . . I thought a chalk board would be perfect.

Once I worked out where I would hang the one I bought (as I didn't want to drill holes into my kitchen cabinets), I was thrilled the results. I went out and bought a packet of coloured chalk and now we can leave romantic "love" messages to each other.  What do you think?

Love suffers long and is kind;
love does not envy;
love does not parade itself, is not puffed up;
does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil;
does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth;
bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

Love never fails.

And now abide faith, hope, love, these three;

but the greatest of these is love.

1 Corinthians 13: 4-8

  2. Hi Joluise,
    VVery romantic indeed! Your message board looks lovely hanging in the alcove.
    I sometimes put a little card or note under my hubby's pillow....he loves it.

    1. My husband would miss any messages under his pillow - they need to be in open spaces so he doesn't miss them!!

  3. Great idea! Reminds of the notes in his lunch box in the early years. We still have littlies in the house so maybe "too many eyes in the potato patch", just now. But yes, great to remember for our Darby and Joan years/
    Have a good weekend.
