The disappearing male: Video

If you have time and the mother of boys, wanting to get pregnant or having fertility issues - do watch this video "The disappearing male".  It is well worth the 42 mins.   Its not new, but we all need a reminder of the consequence of living in a society full of chemicals. The affects are long term or unknown.

It really does hit home the importance's of minimising chemicals in the home however, the poisonous chemicals are in almost everything we touch from the children's toys to the plastic containers in our cupboards which really does make life tough.

The Disappearing Male is about one of the most important, troubling and least publicised issues facing the human species: the toxic threat to the male reproductive system. The last few decades have seen steady and dramatic increases in the incidence of boys and young men suffering from genital deformities, low sperm count, sperm abnormalities and testicular cancer. There are more than 20 heavily industrialised nations where the birth of baby boys has declined every year for the past 30 years. At the same time, boys are now far more at risk of suffering from ADHD, autism, Tourette's syndrome, cerebral palsy, and dyslexia. Many doctors and researchers now suspect that a class of common chemicals are responsible for these problems. Found in everything from shampoo, sunglasses, meat and dairy products, to carpet, cosmetics and baby bottles, they are called hormone mimicking or endocrine disrupting chemicals and they may be starting to damage the most basic building blocks of human development.
