Simple things in life

Sometimes the simplest things in life are the best.

The smell of freshly cooked bread is so good.

Who has a really good bread roll recipe?

This is the recipe I used however I doubled the recipe as it makes hardly any:

  3. And... I am finally caught up on your blog posts!!
Your bread rolls look so great!! I haven't made bread rolls in a while. I think I might have to give your recipe a go! The ones I last made turned out a little too heavy for my liking. Were these bread rolls light or heavy??

    1. These rolls were very nice, but the recipe only has 210 grams of flour which is hardly anything. I doubled the amount of flour, increased the yeast to 10grams, but the milk doesn't need to quite double and I still only made 8 rolls. I can't imagine how many rolls the original would have made. I also didn't use sugar, I replaced it with honey. They certainly weren't heavy.

  4. Hello, I love bread! Quick breads are my favorites, like pumpkin and zucchini! Hope you have a lovely weekend! It is very cool now most mornings. Had to light the stove and get a fire going!

    1. Our cool weather hasn't quite gone yet and some mornings we still need to put the heating on - but finally we are able to open up the house and let in the fresh air. The cats love it as they can sit by the front door and watch the world go by.

      Have a lovely week ahead.
