  3. I really prefer paintings that are natural and candid (rather than poses), and I'm not into the non-smiling poses... The style of painting this artist does isn't my favourite, but it's certainly better than a lot of others out there! I do like the last one, and I like the two paintings of maids. :)

    1. I find these paintings a bit cold, perhaps because the faces aren't inviting. Whilst some non-smiling portraits have warmth, these are lacking and i can't quite put my finger on what the problem is!
