Art Friday: Renato Muccillo

I LOVE these landscape scenes and I really hope you do.

For some reason I find them very peaceful and calming, what a talented artist.

  1. I could almost hear the eerie sounds of birds in the background... These paintings have a very gothic-like peace to them... Thanks for sharing :)

  2. Yes, they are peaceful. I think I like the green ones most of all... the others look a little too lonely. The colour brightens it up and makes it more happy! :)

    1. Its interesting to see which painting people like and the ones they don't - we are all very different. I find them all very peaceful and not lonely !!

  3. He does water really well. Hard to do. As is mist, which I also think is well done. I like the lonely ones. Find his skies less convincing. They look a little flat to me.

    1. I have to agree with you - it almost looks like he spent most of the time on the water (where his talent is) and not as much on the sky as they look more unfinished. I also love the lonely ones as they aren't lonely to me - just calm and peaceful.

  5. These are very peaceful paintings. One reason I especially like them is that they remind me of my home state, Michigan. Very nice memories. :-)

  6. Hmmmm they definitely aren't my cup-of-tea paintings. I look at them & actually find them quite depressing! There are so many more beautiful nature scenes to paint I would think! But I know we all have different opinions!
