Artist: Charles Wysocki

Artist: Charles Wysocki

I have posted paintings by Wysocki before - his cat collection, however he has done plenty of other paintings besides cats and I thought I would share some of these with you. They are so full of detail and the more I look, the more I can see in these paintings.

Enjoy and I hope this is a nice way to end the week.

A few of his cat paintings - the detail is amazing.

    1. Excellent news about sewing lessons, sewing is such a great hobby as it provides pleasure in the sewing and pleasuring in the wearing and it saves stacks of money in the process!!! However I was looking at some Liberty of London fabric the other day and at $55 per metre, I would have to be a very talented sewer to use it as I would hate to make a mistake at that cost!!!

  3. I do and I don't like this artistic style. I like the fact that it is almost realistic, but on the other hand it is more like an illustration. To me it's almost conflicting - like the artist is trying to make it look realistic but can't quite get there. Does that make sense?
I do like the detail - especially in the first cat painting.

    1. Excluding the cat paintings (which are done in a different style), the others do have an illustration feel to them, they aren't to everyone's taste and I didn't like them all, however the seaside one is my favourite.

  6. Oh, I LOVE these! Just love them. Where do you learn about all these amazing artists? Are you having to research for every post, or did you already have the knowledge? It sure is an enjoyable series!

    1. Some I am aware of, others I learn about as I find new artists. This one I knew of as I just love his cat paintings and several years ago I had one of his calendars which gave me much delight throughout the year. So glad you enjoy the artwork as much as I enjoy putting them together.

      Have a wonderful week ahead.
