Thoughtful Thursday: Christmas Day

No matter how you spend Christmas Day, may it be with family and friends and be filled with joy, laughter, love and kindness.

Thinking of you all at this time of the year.

And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.

 (Matthew 1:21)

Joy to the world, the Lord is come!
Let earth receive her King;
Let every heart prepare Him room,
And Heaven and nature sing,
And Heaven and nature sing,
And Heaven, and Heaven, and nature sing.

Joy to the world, the Savior reigns!
Let men their songs employ;
While fields and floods, rocks, hills and plains
Repeat the sounding joy,
Repeat the sounding joy,
Repeat, repeat, the sounding joy.

No more let sins and sorrows grow,
Nor thorns infest the ground;
He comes to make His blessings flow
Far as the curse is found,
Far as the curse is found,
Far as, far as, the curse is found.

He rules the world with truth and grace,
And makes the nations prove
The glories of His righteousness,
And wonders of His love,
And wonders of His love,

And wonders, wonders, of His love.

  2. We had a lovely family day - and we spent the entire day enjoying being with one another. We spent time outside in the garden together, we cooked together, and for the entire rest of the day I read books aloud to the family - we're doing a unit learning about the very early history of America, and reading books and novels about that time (1400s-1700s). I read hundreds of pages to the family yesterday!! It was heaps of fun!

    1. Sounds lovely. We opened presents in the morning (once Tristan and Kat arrived) followed by a roast lunch that Caius and I made (which was delicious). It was quite a cool day so roast was perfect. In the afternoon we put our feet up and relaxed, later in the day I took Caius to and from a friend's house and in the evening I did more of my jigsaw and we watched The Sound of Music whilst it rained heavily. It was a very nice day.
