This is a good one to keep in mind. The Lord is always there and knows and cares. Interestingly though, I think that more often than not we don't have a lot of choice because we just follow society and traditions -- many of us have more choices than we feel we do. A kind of mental prison keeps us from making other choices (often because we're afraid of what other people would think or say) - if that makes sense.
The saying "think outside the box" is something many don't do when they should , not sure if it's because of tradition or current society but more to do with fear of the unknown of what might happen .
