Art Friday: Crazy cat lady

Image
I was given the honour of being called a "crazy cat lady" which I think is just wonderful. But to be crazy, I think I need to post many more photos and stories about cats!!! If you don't like cats, then I would suggest you give this segment a miss!!! I am going to start my Crazy Cat stories with photos of my own gorgeous cat RUBY.

Cats, cats, cats and more cats

I LOVE cats.  I would love to own many more but my husband has said no :( One day perhaps when I am home all the time!  So this fun post is to make me and other crazy cat people HAPPY . . . here is a series of beautiful cat photos that I have been dying to share on my blog but really didn't have any reason to.  This is me being a little cat crazy!! If you don't like cats, I still think you will find some very cute and cuddly.  I have felt cats rubbing their faces against mine and touching my cheek with claws carefully sheathed. These things, to me, are expressions of love.     (Vet, James Herriot) Cats are connoisseurs of comfort.   (James Herriot) Cats have it all - admiration, an endless sleep, and company only when they want it. (Rob Mc Kuen) “The only escape from the miseries of life  are music and cats...” ( Albert Schweitzer ) “If It is impossible to keep a straight face  in the presence of ...

Art Friday: Cats and books

Art Friday: Cats and Books A home must have two things - piles of books in every room and a cat or two.  And sometimes you can have them combined, especially in bed reading a book with a cosy cat curled up next to you.  So why am I doing books and cats today - because I am about to do my most favourite activity, second-hand book buying at the bi-annual lifeline book fair. My dear friend Jill and I will spend several hours looking through thousands (that cover every topic under the sun) of  books before we go off to lunch to chat about the books we have bought. Then, this weekend I will spend ages looking through my books with Ruby and Charlie keeping me company. What could be better!! I have no idea what people do if they don't like books or cats (they must be mad!!). You probably wondered about this art friday - would I find enough artwork that combined my two loves - cats and books. Of course I did. Did you ever doubt me...

Art Friday: Cute cat

Image
Ok, this is pushing the whole art friday thing, but this kitty is SO cute and I had to share it with other like minded "cat" people.  If you don't like cats or kittens, don't read any further (don't even peek at the link) - but if you are like me and your heart melts when you see cute photos of cuddly cats and fluffy kittens, check out this link.  This kitten is ADORABLE . Her name is Daisy.  http://www.mymodernmet.com/profiles/blogs/ben-torode-kitten-in-japan Now that your heart has melted and you want to take Daisy home, check out this link - Daisy is a little older and still gorgeous.  Ok, I am a little crazy about my cats and yes, I am one of those mad "cat-ladies" who talk to their cats, but why wouldn't you with a cat that looks this beautiful. http://www.mymodernmet.com/profiles/blogs/ben-torode-daisy-and-hannah Ok, I won't bore you with any more cute cat links - anyway this is my blog and I can post ...

Message from the cat

Dear bloggers, My mistress is currently relaxing - feet up with a good book and a mug of hot chocolate.  Whilst she is enjoying herself, I have been busy looking after her blog and what a very tough job this is.   So, this is my opportunity to share some fabulous photos of me with you.  What do you think . . . gorgeous, beautiful, magnificent . . . you are probably speechless!    These were taken in the bathtub - I just love to roll around in the cool bathtub, its' so much fun (until someone turns on the tap)!! and the white of the bathtub makes the perfect setting for these photos. OK, not all work (don't tell the mistress about this) - relaxing by the front door. Don't all cats lie on their backs? What does Charlie think she's doing - becoming a flower!! We are now growing cats!! Love from Ruby XX PS hopefully these magnificent photos will end up on Project 365 - they are much better than today's photo of a bolt - who posts a photo of a gate bolt when t...
