Take therefore no thought for the morrow:
for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself.
Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

Matthew 6:34

There is no need to feel overwhelmed about life, trust it to the Lord.

We must take things one day at a time.

  1. Very true! Thanks for the reminder, this is easy to forget. (o:

  2. My reading this morning ties in with this, I think Jo - Ps 103 v 14!

  3. How very true, I have to keep reminding myself of that often. Have a wonderful Sunday!

  4. What a wonderful reminder of an important precept, dear Jo. God knew just how destructive fretting and worry can be and He wanted to assure us that all would be well. I regret to say that I do tend to be a bit of a "fretter", and have to constantly remind myself that God is in control of all, and therefore I must (as you said) take things one day at a time and trust it to the Lord.

    Have a joyful week! :)

  5. SUCH a good reminder!! Thanks, Jo! :)

  6. We get worried, and feel overwhelmed at times, but my husband ans I are trying to trust the Lord and believe in him with all our hearts. Nice post :)

  7. I love this verse and needs to be reminded of it often! Sometimes when I wake in the morning I am not sure what the day may bring - it really is completely up to the Lord to guide the day as well as the next.

  8. Jo,

I know this is off topic, but can you send me your email address?

    -L. Rose

  9. I LOVE this beach picture you have on this post. Did you take this picture? I was wondering if you minded if I borrowed it for my blog. My blog is One Day At A Time. If not it's fine:) I just thought I'd ask. Thanks!!! BTW-I am enjoying your blog. I love the post on working women. We really are ALL working women. Thanks again! ~Sandy

  10. Sandy - The photo comes from Google Imagines, my search was Matthew 6:34. It links to a "broken link" but the photo is ok to copy and paste. It is really nice, insn't it:)

Thanks for your very kind words.

  11. Sometimes I get so overwhelmed- the only way that I can cope is to just leave it with the Lord. One day at a time is how I try to live my life. I love this photo Jo-- is it your photo? May I borrow it for future use?
