Take therefore no thought for the morrow:
for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself.
Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
Matthew 6:34
There is no need to feel overwhelmed about life, trust it to the Lord.
We must take things one day at a time.

Very true! Thanks for the reminder, this is easy to forget. (o:

How very true, I have to keep reminding myself of that often. Have a wonderful Sunday!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful reminder of an important precept, dear Jo. God knew just how destructive fretting and worry can be and He wanted to assure us that all would be well. I regret to say that I do tend to be a bit of a "fretter", and have to constantly remind myself that God is in control of all, and therefore I must (as you said) take things one day at a time and trust it to the Lord.
ReplyDeleteHave a joyful week! :)
SUCH a good reminder!! Thanks, Jo! :)
ReplyDeleteWe get worried, and feel overwhelmed at times, but my husband ans I are trying to trust the Lord and believe in him with all our hearts. Nice post :)
ReplyDeleteI love this verse and needs to be reminded of it often! Sometimes when I wake in the morning I am not sure what the day may bring - it really is completely up to the Lord to guide the day as well as the next.
ReplyDeleteJo,
ReplyDeleteI know this is off topic, but can you send me your email address?

I LOVE this beach picture you have on this post. Did you take this picture? I was wondering if you minded if I borrowed it for my blog. My blog is One Day At A Time. If not it's fine:) I just thought I'd ask. Thanks!!! BTW-I am enjoying your blog. I love the post on working women. We really are ALL working women. Thanks again! ~Sandy
ReplyDeleteSandy - The photo comes from Google Imagines, my search was Matthew 6:34. It links to a "broken link" but the photo is ok to copy and paste. It is really nice, insn't it:)
ReplyDeleteThanks for your very kind words.
Sometimes I get so overwhelmed- the only way that I can cope is to just leave it with the Lord. One day at a time is how I try to live my life. I love this photo Jo-- is it your photo? May I borrow it for future use?
