Prayer list
Blake and Alex by Susan Rios
Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
1 Peter 5:7
Here are a few things on my pray list that I am casting to the Lord in pray.
- My youngest son is currently job hunting, he isn't very enthusiastic and I think a little frighten of this new chapter of his life, please pray that he able to find a job, any job that provides a safe environment for him to learn and mature. The world is a large and scary place for anyone, but particularly for a young man of (almost) 19.
- My eldest son is currently trying to find a better paid job and he is having some difficulties which gets him down. He needs all the encouragement he can get and lots of praying.
- My mum is unwell again and my dad needs prayers as he needs strength each day to care for mum and he gets so tired sometimes. Being a full time carer is a hard occupation, made harder when you are getting older yourself. My father is doing such a brilliant job but often carers are forgotten when we focus on the person who is unwell.
- My brother and sister-in-law are off to the USA on Monday, I'm praying that their journey there and back is safe and whilst away my sister-in-laws dad and partner remain in as good as health as possible. I really want them to enjoy their trip away and not to worry.
- Prays for my cousin's little boy who is unwell and needs to sit quiet for the next week or so - a very difficult ask for a small very active boy of 6. I think the whole family will need prayers as this will be a long week for all. I think the family will be looking for ideas of entertaining a little boy who can't run about. Do you have anything?
- Prayers for another cousin who is due to have a baby in the next few weeks - prayers that the little bub comes on time (not early like his/her sister) and easy. Bets - I can't wait to hear the news, I love to hear about new babies in the family.
- And, finally, even though not very important - my DH and I will be mulching the gardening today (Saturday) and it will be a very busy day with lots of heavy work - I am most certainly praying that my back is strong and holds up well. And, I know that rain is lovely, but dear Lord, please hold off until we have mulched the garden and there is nothing worse than icy cold weather + rain!!
And whilst not a worry - only the Lord knows what October will bring and therefore I will leave the next 30 days safely in his hands.
Take it to the Lord in prayer;
In His arms He'll take and shield thee,
Thou wilt find a solace there.
Thou wilt find a solace there.
Thank you for the prayers for Danny - we certainly appreciate it! The children are looking forward to making gingerbread today - thank you for the excellent idea!! :)
ReplyDeleteWill be praying for those other things - take care of your back today! xo
Jo- I am touched by your prayer list and I've added your prayer needs to mine. It is so hard to watch our children struggle in the job market- I know- I've had my turn there. It takes a while- and the waiting is tough.
ReplyDeleteI'm really sorry your Mother is unwell again- I know that is a heavy burden on your heart. I will certainly say a special prayer for her.
Keeping a 6 year old quiet is never easy. Our little 3 year old grandson broke his arm this summer. An iPad totally saved the day. They have great apps- movies- coloring books and games for children. It is amazing and will definitely do the trick.
I hope your family has a wonderful and safe trip to my side of the world--
Love
Vicki
Thankyou so much Vicki for you kind words. I just wish I could find a job for my sons that were perfect, but I can't, it is a journey they need to make on their own (not quite on their own, with God).
ReplyDeleteClara - you must post photos of these ginger bread men and women, I can't wait to see them.
ReplyDeleteYour list reminds me that we all have needs. Lovely to see the faithful way you are committing each matter to the Lord.
ReplyDeleteI have noticed you are Joluise now. Is this your full name or just for internet? Very pretty.
Ruby - Joluise is the name I use on all my photos so I decided to use it on the blog as well. It is a slightly altered combination of my names!! And I do love Luise but don't get to use to very often:)
ReplyDeleteDone. ♥
ReplyDeleteAgreeing with you in prayer. Totally understand the prayers for young adult children, have four at that stage, and I am praying for my teen. I think I pray more now that they are older.
ReplyDeletePrayers for the little one who needs to stay still...went through that last year when our 4 year old had a broken leg, prayers for them all...and healing.
Coming to this late, but will be praying....
