The artwork below is called Black Cloud, thousands of moths of different sizes at Yvon Lambert (New York)(2007) and a old baroque church in Spain (2009). The one at Yvon Lambert contained 25,000 black paper moths that were hand glued to the wall. There are 36 different types of moths, all life-size which are to give the impression of a plague. Amorales studied the swarming habits of moths and based on this information designed the installation. It took 8 months to until they were happy with the swarms.

Four museum workers worked in an assembly-line production putting together the moths attaching each moth individually.
