1000th post

This is my 1000th blog post.

I can hardly believe it.

It has been a complete joy, even though at times I have struggled to think of things to write!!  I have enjoyed our many conversations, even if we haven't always agreed . . . I do enjoy a good debate!

I don't really fit the "typical" blogger demographic of my readers . . . I didn't homeschool my children, I work outside the home and I can't sew or knit or crocket (but I do grow my own vegetables and love to cook) but I do hope I have convinced you, that even though God has given me other plans that are different to your, I share the same Christian values as you do and truly love being the keeper of my home (and I hope that enthusiasm has come through in my blogs).

I have covered many topics in the last 1000 blog posts and I pray (God willing) that I can cover many other topics in the coming year. I have no plans to hang up my "pen" as I just loved having a chat with you all.

So, a huge thanks (and hug) to you all for your loyalty, wonderful comments, encouragement, friendships made and prayers.  But what I have valued most of all, is knowing that I am among Christian women who are passionate about the Lord.

I know I have some silent readers, to you - glad you can stop by and read and I hope you have been enjoying what I have written.

The world may not be perfect and we are surrounded by unbelievers, but regardless of all this . . . there is still many many reasons to be joyful, happy, to laugh, to smile and remain positive and I hope that many of my blogs make you smile or laugh!

In Gods wonderful Grace

Hugs

  1. Congratulations! ♥♥♥ 1 000 posts is indeed an achievement. Just because friendships are *on~line* does not invalidate them & I too have enjoyed our chats.

  3. Congratulations on your 1000th post. It's amazing how quickly the time can pass. Sometimes I like to look back and see what I posted a year or two or three from the date it is now.
    Here's to 1000 more.

    1. I went back and looked at the first few I had written and it felt like only yesterday but it wasn't - it was 5 years ago. Where has that time gone. ??

    1. I think this is much easier than writing a book - but I wonder if someone will turn their blog into a book-a little like a diary.

  7. Congratulations, Jo! That is a great milestone. :-)

I enjoy following your blog, even though I don't read every single post. Your perspective has been interesting and useful to me. I appreciate that you address topics sometimes that some Christian women prefer to protect themselves from or ignore, or simply don't know about. I feel that there are things we need to know, especially when dealing with other ladies with different views from ours, or who may be involved in certain ungodly things that are popular in the culture. It has enlarged my understanding to read you comments on such things. I hope to pass on some of those things to others, or have already.

Thank you for taking the time and having the courage to write. :-) I consider you a friend. Perhaps we will meet someday if we ever get over there to visit our family. :-)
