Art Friday: Marjlein Bastin

Art Friday: Marjolein Bastin

I make no apologies for selecting the cutest, most adorable art this week.

These are oozing with sweetness and I love them. I particular love the mice in these paintings, they remind me of my cousin who has sadly past away, when young she was often called "mouse"

Happy Friday, may you all have a wonderful weekend.

And if you are new to my blog or visiting from Grow Your Blog, welcome.

For those who are new to my blog, every Friday I do an art special, I selected an artist from the past or present that impresses me. Sometimes I pick a theme and find art that matches the theme. I love art and love to share it with others.

  1. THIS is one of my all-time favourites! The mice are so cute - and the bunny is adorable, and so is the little puppy peeing over the sheets!! The bright flowers are gorgeous, and I love the one of the sparrows with the watering-cans. They're all just gorgeous!! :D (But then, you knew I'd say that, didn't you?? ;) )

    2. Yep, knew you would like these and I did chuckle at the peeing rather than peaking :)))

  3. How adorable. They are all so sweet. My favorite has to be the butterfly on the watercolors. It was just, unexpected and so pretty.

  4. I absolutely adore this style of artwork! It reminds me of the work of Renee Cloke, who used to illustrate Enid Blyton's stories back in the 50's. So cute and love the details.

    1. I hadn't heard of Renee Cloke so thanks so much for introducing me to her. I might have to do a page on her works.
