Art Friday: Are they real (Part 1)

Are they real?

Today's Art Friday is all about realism and the incredible skill some people have with a lead pencil. None of these are photos, they are all hand-drawn and they are amazing.

I plan to do another one of these as there is so many examples to share.

I hope you have all had a lovely week and may the weekend be enjoyable:)

I hope I have inspired you to sharpen your pencils are start drawing!!

  1. Those are absolutely incredible, Jo - I wish I had a tiny bit of that talent!! I especially love the little girl peek around her curls, but all of them show amazing talent. This is the kind of art that is perhaps my favourite - art that shows incredibly skill to the point that you're not sure if it is art or a photo. Anyone can slap colour on a paper and call it by a catchy name... Very few have such skill that you're blown away by the reality of it.

    1. There are heaps of these sorts of drawings and paintings on Pinterest and I could do pages of them - they are just amazing and as you say, requite the most incredible talent. Some you do need to look at more than once to believe it is a drawing such as the very first painting. A wonderful God given gift.

    1. Perhaps they are all retired or their children have left home!! This is why I can start quilting now - I have the time and space (and no hands touching things!!).
