Art Friday: Its all about bunnies
Art Friday: Its all about bunnies
Todays Art Friday is especially for a little girl who I know likes bunnies - Miss Five - I do hope you enjoy all these cute bunnies. Here are some interesting facts about bunnies:
- A female rabbit is called a doe.
- A male rabbit is called a buck.
- A young rabbit is called a kit (or kitten).
- Rabbits live in groups.
- Rabbits have long ears which can be as long as 10 cm (4 in).
- Rabbits have a lifespan of around 10 years.
- Rabbits are herbivores (plant eaters).
- Rabbits are born with their eyes closed and without fur.
Perhaps you could draw a picture of a bunny as part of your school today?
Susan Wheeler is an expert with bunnies, these two are very cute. |

DeleteOh my goodness! My favourite art Friday ever! I LOVE bunnies! My baby girl's nursery is Peter Rabbit themed and she had a Peter Rabbit birthday party last September. So beautiful!
ReplyDeleteSo glad April :))))))) Growing up my mother had all the Beatrice Potter stories on cassette tape and I spend hours and hours listening to these beautiful stories and still love them.
DeleteThis is kind of weird..but i have commented before by the name June which I used for a blog i was working on (privacy issues) and i just figured out how to change it back to my real name. Haha hope that makes sense.
ReplyDeleteI love your real name :)))
DeleteWell now, who doesn't love a bunny?! My favourite is the family sitting around the fire. What a cheerful, little collection. Thank-you for putting it together.
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine who wouldn't find rabbits gorgeous !! Susan Wheeler is a great artist and knows how to capture the feeling of love and warmth, as she has done with the camp fire.
DeleteBunnies are a favourite with me and with Miss Holly (the girls in our household are bunnies, the boys are teddies ;). She's been a bunny lover her whole life, which is why we bought her a pet bunny for her 5th birthday - it was so sad when those bunnies died. :(
ReplyDeleteWe especially love Susan Wheeler's artwork because she portrays bunnies so often. So cute!
I am so glad that you like these :)) I had a pet bunny once, he was a huge rabbit and very fluffy. I can't remember what happened to him, I really should ask my dad. Sadly I wasn't very good at cleaning out his house.
DeleteBoth my bunnies enjoyed your art page!!!!!
ReplyDeletelove,
Bets
SO glad:))
DeleteWhat a precious post, Jo! Susan Wheeler is the best at bunny paintings; I could just melt looking at them. And I always love your list of facts.
ReplyDeleteI haven't had time to do my art posts in the past few weeks, but you inspire me to somehow find time again!
