Cats, cats, cats and more cats

I LOVE cats.

I would love to own many more but my husband has said no :( One day perhaps when I am home all the time!

So this fun post is to make me and other crazy cat people HAPPY . . . here is a series of beautiful cat photos that I have been dying to share on my blog but really didn't have any reason to.

This is me being a little cat crazy!! If you don't like cats, I still think you will find some very cute and cuddly.

I have felt cats rubbing their faces against mine and touching my cheek with claws carefully sheathed. These things, to me, are expressions of love.    (Vet, James Herriot)
Cats are connoisseurs of comfort. (James Herriot)
Cats have it all - admiration, an endless sleep, and company only when they want it. (Rob Mc Kuen)
“The only escape from the miseries of life are music and cats...” (Albert Schweitzer)
“If It is impossible to keep a straight face in the presence of one or more kittens."
(Cynthia E. Varnado)

“If animals could speak, the dog would be a blundering outspoken fellow; but the cat would have the rare grace of never saying a word too much.”
(Mark Twain)

Hope you enjoyed this cute and cuddly creatures.

My kitty (Ruby) missed me terribly when I was away last week, she hates me leaving her and makes me suffer a little when I return!! Once I have suffered enough, she climbs up next to me on the arm chair and purrs away to joy and contentment.

With lots of love

  1. Oh, these are very cute! We have one cat, who unfortunately has scratched up our carpet at the bedroom doors when she either wants in or wants out :(
I'm not too happy about that, but don't know what I can do about it now! I wish I could get her a playmate, but I don't think I can afford it.
    I hope you are well!

    1. Some cats do scratch more than others, Ruby (my Ragdoll) scratched my arm chair in my sewing room and caused damaged - but never touches the chairs in our lounge room which I am very pleased with!! Our older cat (Charlie) strongly dislikes Ruby, so not playmates in our house!!

    1. Our Doberman is just too big to be around the 2 cats and they get scared of him. The next time round I would like to get a puppy that spends time with the cats, so when he is all grown up, he will be more gentle around the cats!!

    2. That would probably be a good idea. We got our dog, Lilly, from the animal shelter when she was about 9 months old. She'd been abused and we wondered how she would get along with our two cats, but she has never bothered either one of them. They all get along great! :-)

  3. Love the pictures. I have two cats that are I wouldn't trade anything for. When I went to see about adopting a cat from a vet's office, who is also a good friends, she brought two in the room for me. They are not siblings but were both abandoned at the same time and had been kept together since she had gotten them. When I saw them interacting together, I couldn't split those babies up. I accused my vet of working me and by her grin I kinda think she knew she had me.

    1. I would be like you - if I was shown 2 kittens I would come home with 2 - I agree, I couldn't split up babies, especially those who have had a rough start in life :))

  4. Some of those are cute, indeed! :) I like the gray one that is standing up at the window - that one is extra cute. And the two lying on their backs next to each other look rather cuddly, too. :)

  5. Thank you for this cute post. :-) My favorite is the kitten standing up looking out the open window. Our cat loves an open window too. Our window sills in the living room are just wide enough for her to sit or lay on so when there's a window open it's pretty common to find her in front of it. :-) Sometimes she just stands on the floor looking out similar to what this kitty is doing.

    1. My kitty loves to stand at the window and see what is going on. For those windows that are too high for her, I have placed furniture so she can climb on and sit and watch the birds!!!

  6. I enjoyed the pictures so much. I am a crazy cat lady. lol!
I live in the country so we get some dropped off- we think.
I give them a home and care, attention and food, of course.
I have seven right now. Playing and grooming them is a highlight of my day.
