  4. Loved every moment of that. It reminds me of why it is I spend so much time cleaning up the lost hair of my three special kitties. And they are particularly bad at the moment, so I really needed this...

    1. My husband is the one who vacuumed the house and he often makes comments about cat hair - I think a little hair around the house is a small price to pay for their gorgeous company :))

    1. My mother use to come into check on me as a baby find that the cat had joined me in the cot (a no-no these days, not some much 49 years ago!), so cats have always been part of my life along with the love of books.

    1. One of the reasons why I love winter is being able to curl up with a book, blanket over the knees and Ruby my cat and read - to me that is a perfect evening :)) We have had an unusually warm spring (with rain) and I have had to jump into summer clothes far too fast than normal - I even bought a summer frock the other day to wear. I don't like the idea of 5 months of warmth, thats a little to long :(

      Have a wonderful weekend.

    2. We can have about 6 months of warm weather here in Central Texas. Often I'm exhausted by the time it finally lets up. But....what's worse is 6 months of *winter*. I'm glad we don't have that. :-) When my family lived in Michigan it wasn't that much farther north that they could easily have it!

  7. That's a fun post! :-) My favorite is the one with all the quilts and it's snowing outside the window. :-) It is a bit chilly here tonight and our cat decided that she wanted a warm lap to sit on. It felt nice to have a warm, purring kitty in my lap for awhile. :-)

  10. Even though I'm not as much of a cat person as you, I do appreciate how cute they are in some of these pieces of art! Some of the styles of art I like and some I don't really like so much... My favourites are the tent silhouette, the child dressed up like a cat while reading a book, and the cat reading in front of the bookshelf by lantern-light. :)

    1. Its interesting that cats, books and people go so well together!!! Cats love to snuggle up with humans when they read (or watch TV) - it would be interesting to go back in history and see when this relationship first started as cats really didn't need people as they are such good hunters.
