Christmas break and art Monday

Dear blogging friends and family,

What a year . . . it has gone so fast and I can hardly believe it is almost over.

It has been a good year . . . yes, there has been few bumps and lumps along the way, tears and anger, laughter and joy but no complaints. Not everything has gone to plan, but that is what one would expect. God has said no or over-ridden some of my plans, but hey, He is writing my story and not me, so that is perfectly ok! In fact . . . they were never my plans in the first place . . . they were always His, its just that I like to tinker around the edges a bit (don't we all) and that doesn't always work out well.

And now it is almost the end of 2015 and Christmas is almost upon us.

I need a break . . . I am taking a month off work so I can visit my family, spend more time with my husband (and cat), my children and put my feet up and relax with a good book or two.

So, it is a the perfect time to take a few days off from blogging so I can give my brain a rest and think up some great ideas for next year.

Will you miss me?? !!

I do hope so !!!!

I will return on the 1st of January 2016 all refreshed and ready for the new year.

Of course, if you really miss me  . . . and want a chat, drop by my Facebook page and say hi (LINK)

Thankyou to all my loyal blogging friends . . . you have contributed so much this year with your comments and I feel very humble to know you stop and find the time to read what I have written (even if you don't always agree).

Thankyou.

But before I go, here is some cute Christmas art to end the year with.

With lots of love and hugs

Whilst all these snowmen look very cute — here in Australia it is hot (very hot in some areas) and we are in the middle of summer. No snow in sight (not much rain either) and I am wearing summer dresses and bare feet!! Christmas here is about being outdoors, enjoying picnics and barbecues and not so much about roasts and plum puddings (which I still enjoy having even though it is too hot too eat!!). Below are some fun illustrations of an Australian Christmas :))

See you all soon.

  3. Dear Jo,
Wishing you and your family a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Thank you for all you do throughout the year to inform, educate, and cheer our walks with The Lord. You never fail to bring a smile to my face with your "Art Friday", and I am thankful that sometimes you bring up subjects that may be difficult to think about which cause me not only to be grateful in my own circumstances, but remind me to think and pray for others for whom I may not otherwise.
I also thoroughly enjoy your photography and the writing about your own life experiences.
You may not know it, but you are a friend from "far away", and like many others, I am very grateful for your efforts on this blog.
Youll definitely be missed over the next few weeks, but see you in the New Year, when we will look forward to your return and 2016.

    Love and Blessings,
    Christine
