Do everything in love

Let all that you do be done with love.
(1 Corinthians 16:14)

What would our lives look like if we did everything with love and joy?

What if we carried out our household chores—washing the car, cleaning the toilet, taking out the trash, making meals for our families, sweeping the kitchen floor—as acts of love?

What if we made every interaction of our daily lives—greeting people on the streets, talking to our neighbours, tipping the waitress—an act of love?

What if we made sure that everything word we spoke to our spouse, our children, our parents, our co-workers, boss, employees, professors, students, and on and on was an act of love?

Greet one another with a kiss of love.  Peace to you all who are in Christ Jesus. Amen. (1 Peter 5:14)

Wouldn't our lives to transformed?

Wouldn't our testimony for Christ be powerful?

We are commanded to love.

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. (John 13:34)

Christian love makes perfect sense on a Sunday mornings, but then we get up on Monday morning, and every other morning of the week, and we promptly forget to apply Christian love to our real-life problems and situations.

What a way to start our working week with this in mind. But remember, this isn't about selective love, its all embracing love of everyone, including those people you may not like or completely disagree with—those people of different faiths, of different race, different colour and of different political ideology.  We need to share love to all these people regardless of how we feel.

Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honour giving preference to one another

(Romans 12:10)

  1. Love speaks loud!
I try very hard to do everything with Love, but sometimes my sinful nature takes over.
Thank you for reminding us. Especially, those of us that are getting together with unsaved family members, this Thanksgiving.

    1. It can be SO hard to love some people - I completely understand but at least we need to give it our best shot!!! Prayers that your thanksgiving with family goes smoothly - sometimes saying nothing but acting Godly is far more important than words. - Walk the talk so to speak :))
